Your taximeter will have a system to record statistics and totals for the day, or shift, and some of these can be reset to zero, much like a trip odometer can be cleared. There is also a collection of “permanent” stats which will accumulate for the life of the meter, unless reset by a licensed programmer. This is frequently done when a meter is installed into a subsequent vehicle. Out with the old numbers and set up for a new set in the new car.
