#100221   Lesson -Using Scotch-Lok(r)  Connectors     Scotch-Lok connectors work better than standard t-tap connectors when the technician needs to tie into a existing wire. When a taxi meter installer locates the correct conductor for the distance pulse required, a Scotch-Lok gives him a more secure add-on. The connector has a U-shaped contactor, making two clean cuts through the insulation, and a more stable mechanical tap, far less subject to rotational forces which can cause the device to loosen. This simple lesson makes a few suggestions and demonstrates the "how to".
