#100136 Two 1200Ω Resistors, connected as a three-prong circuit for use as a programming key for the Pulsar 2020 and 2030 Taximeter families.
The Pulsar company has quit business and is no longer operating. We cannot purchase or sell the tidy little red programming keys they provided, but the resistors I now solder up and sell are electrically identical, though not a pretty site! You can see how these are put together by clicking this link, http://www.taxicabelectronics.com/MakePulsarKey.html?032313. If it does not switch to the page on our other website, copy and paste the entire link into your browser address window, and press GO. The small diagram on this page also can be clicked to enlarge the photo, and you will see how these resistors are connected.
NOTICE: In many areas, the person making changes to a taximeter must be licensed, and fines can result if unauthorized personnel make adjustments. Contact your regulatory agency if you have questions, BEFORE you cut any existing meter seals.
[This resistor combination will also work for the old 2010 Pulsar meter series, (though these are no longer certified for use in the USA). You will need to make a loop on the ends of the three wires since the 2010 meter has three posts inside the meter which need to be connected to the resistors in order to switch the meter to programming mode. Think of the three protruding wires as a letter I, and when you make a loop they will look more like a letter P. Make the loop tight enough to contact the posts during programming.]
